The Services - Business Development Manager for Door Knocking Prospecting
Job Purpose:
Responsible for setting up appointments for Insurance advisers with potential clients. Development and training of lead generators under his management and help the direct marketing division of the company grow by performing the following responsibilities below.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Call and email potential clients to expand customer base from various sources;
- Train and develop 'lead generators' using the 5-step sales process that we implement;
- All relevant fields on the lead form are to be fully completed including but not limited to the name and address of prospect, at least one correct phone number to contact the prospect, signature and acknowledgement initials of prospect;
- As at the date of completing the lead form, the prospect must be over 25 years of age and under 59 years of age; and
- Prospect and generate 'quality' leads on a face to face capacity.
Required Skills:
- Communication Skills (both verbal and Written). In particular, an ability to convey technical financial details in a clear and accurate manner to your target audience and the ability to deliver seminars to the public.
- Relationship Building. The ability to proactively develop lasting value- add relationships with clients, grow a network of centres of influence and generate lead referral networks.
- Sales Skills. In particular, the ability to prospect for new clients
- Capacity to Learn. The ability to assimilate and apply new Contractor occupation related information that may vary in complexity, in a timely manner.
- Analysis. The ability to ask the right questions to unearth client needs and evaluate client data in order to generate leads.
- Personal Presentation. Business suit attire is required (tie optional), however appearance and behaviour are to be consistent with the image that the Principal wishes its advisers to project to its market.
- Driving. A current driver's license and registered motor vehicle is essential.
